The verse highlights humility and proper conduct in seeking counsel: a ruler approaches a spiritual authority with reverence, asking for grace and guidance, and frames his personal desire (reunion with his son) within respectful, dharmic dialogue.
A king addresses a revered brāhmaṇa/sage, requesting his favor and asking for a reunion with his son. The sentence then turns to acknowledge and respond to the sage’s immediately preceding words, indicating the conversation is continuing into the next verse.
