बलेन महता गुप्त: सामात्य: सावरोधन: । मृगस्तु विद्धो बाणेन मया सरति शल्यवान्
balena mahatā guptaḥ sāmātyaḥ sāvarodhanaḥ | mṛgas tu viddho bāṇena mayā sarati śalyavān ||
Bhishma dit : « Protégé par une grande force, je cheminais avec mes ministres et le cortège du gynécée. Pourtant, un cerf que j’avais atteint d’une flèche s’est enfui d’ici, portant encore la flèche fichée en lui. »
