त्रिवर्गमूलनिश्चयः — Determining the Roots of Dharma, Artha, and Kāma
Mahābhārata, Śānti-parva 123
स गर्भ शिरसा देवो बहुवर्षाण्यधारयत् । पूर्णे वर्षमहस्रे तु स गर्भ: क्षुवतोडपतत्
sa garbhaśirasā devo bahuvarṣāṇy adhārayat | pūrṇe varṣasahasre tu sa garbhaḥ kṣuvatodapatat ||
Vasuharoma dit : « Cet être divin porta l’embryon sur sa tête durant de longues années. Mais lorsqu’un millier d’années fut accompli, l’embryon glissa et tomba au moment où il éternua—montrant que même ce qui est longtemps soutenu peut être relâché en un instant lorsque le temps et l’élan du corps se rejoignent. »
