(Mayūra-vat Rāja-dharma) — The Peacock-Model of Protective Kingship

Educational Q&A

Assign people to duties suited to their abilities and station, following proper norms; do not make contrary or improper appointments, especially if one seeks good results and social stability.

In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma and governance, Bhishma continues advising on orderly administration and household/state management, emphasizing appropriate placement of servants in fitting work.
