Bhṛtya-niyoga: Role-appropriate appointment of servants and protection of the royal treasury (भृत्यनियोगः कोशरक्षणं च)
कुलज: प्राकृतो राज्ञा स्वकुलीनतया सदा । न पापे कुरुते बुद्धि भिद्यमानो5प्यनागसि
Bhīṣma uvāca: kulajaḥ prākṛto rājñā svakulīnatayā sadā | na pāpe kurute buddhiṁ bhidyamāno 'py anāgasi ||
Bhishma dit : Un homme de noble naissance, même si le roi le traite durement sans qu’il ait commis de faute et que d’autres le brisent ou l’humilient, ne tourne pas son esprit vers le mal. Par noblesse innée et fidélité à son lignage, il n’admet jamais l’idée de nuire au roi en retour.
