Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तस्यर्षेरुपविष्टस्थ पादमूले महामते । मनुष्यवद्गतो भावो स्नेहबद्धों& भवद् भूशम्
tasyarṣer upaviṣṭastha-pādamūle mahāmate | manuṣyavad gato bhāvo sneha-baddho ’bhavad bhūśam ||
Bhishma dit : «Ô sage, tandis que le chien était assis au pied du grand rishi, un sentiment semblable à celui des hommes s’éveilla en lui. Étroitement lié par l’affection, il s’attacha profondément au sage.»
