Satya–Anṛta Viveka (Discrimination between Truth and Falsehood) |
Do not assist wrongdoing through speech: if someone seeks information to commit theft or unlawful seizure, withholding that information is righteous conduct (dharma).
In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma, Bhishma advises on ethical speech and social responsibility, stating that one should not reveal a wealthy person’s assets or whereabouts to people intending unlawful plunder.
