इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत शान्तिपर्वके अन्तर्गत राजधमनुशासनपर्वमें माता-पिता और गुरुका माहात्म्यविषयक एक सौ आठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हआ
iti prakāraṃ śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi antargate rājadharmānuśāsanaparvaṇi mātā-pitṛ-guru-māhātmyaviṣayaka ekaśatāṣṭamo 'dhyāyaḥ samāptaḥ
Ainsi s’achève le cent huitième chapitre du Mahābhārata, dans le Śānti Parva, au sein de la section consacrée à l’enseignement du dharma royal, portant sur la grandeur et la sainteté de la mère, du père et du maître. Le récit clôt cette unité de conseil moral en en marquant solennellement l’achèvement.
भीष्म उवाच
