तमुत्तमेन शौचेन कर्मणा चाभिधारय

Transliteration

tam uttamena śaucena karmaṇā cābhidhāraya

Translation

Bhīṣma dit : « Gagne sa faveur par la plus haute pureté de conduite et par des actes nobles. Par une conduite sans tache, fais naître en toi la confiance du roi de Videha. Le roi de Videha est fidèle à ses vœux ; aussi te donnera-t-il assurément des richesses. Et s’il en est ainsi, tu deviendras une mesure digne de foi pour tous les êtres et le bras droit du roi—son appui le plus sûr dans le gouvernement. »
