बदरपाचन-तीर्थमाहात्म्यम् | Badarapācana Tīrtha Māhātmya
Indratīrtha and the Austerities of Srucāvatī & Arundhatī
सरित: सागरांश्षैव नदांक्षापि सरांसि च । पालयामास विधिना यथा देवान् शतक्रतु:
saritaḥ sāgarāṁś caiva nadāṁś cāpi sarāṁsi ca | pālayāmāsa vidhinā yathā devān śatakratuḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Il gouverna, dans l’ordre dû et selon la règle convenable, les rivières et les mers, les ruisseaux et les lacs également—comme Śatakratu (Indra) protège et soutient les dieux. Le vers souligne la royauté comme une garde disciplinée : maintenir l’ordre naturel et social par une protection légitime et mesurée, non par un pouvoir arbitraire.
