Transliteration

saināpatyam anuprāpya skando devagaṇastha ha

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : ayant obtenu la charge de commandant en chef, Skanda—placé au milieu des cohortes des dieux—se tenait là. Le vers suggère l’idéal d’un commandement sanctionné par le divin : commander n’est pas seulement puissance, mais responsabilité grave, portée en présence d’êtres supérieurs et de forces ordonnées.
