Saptasārasvata-tīrtha-prasaṅgaḥ | The Saptasārasvata Pilgrimage Account and the Maṅkaṇaka Narrative
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ा भारत शल्यपववके अन्तर्गत गदापबव॑नें बलदेवजीकी तीरथ्थयात्राके प्रसंगमें त्रितका उपाख्यानविषयक छत्तीसवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ
kṛḍābhir vimalābhir yakṣāḥ krīḍanti vimalānanāḥ |
abhivādya munīṁs tān vai tatra tīrthanivāsinaḥ |
uddiṣṭamārgaḥ prayayau yatra bhūyaḥ sarasvatī ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : En ce gué sacré, des êtres célestes au visage rayonnant se plaisent sans cesse à maints jeux purs et gracieux, ayant rejeté toute langueur. Puis, après avoir dûment salué les sages qui résident en ce tīrtha, il poursuivit par la voie indiquée vers le lieu où l’on rencontre de nouveau la Sarasvatī. Le passage souligne la vertu sanctifiante du pèlerinage : révérence envers les ascètes et marche disciplinée sur un chemin prescrit forment le cadre éthique pour goûter la beauté sacrée sans tomber dans l’insouciance.
