समागतमपकश्याम हाांशुमन्तमिव प्रजा: । “वीरोंका विनाश करनेवाले इस संग्रामसे बचकर तुम कुशलपूर्वक नगरमें लौट आये-- इस अवस्थामें हमने तुम्हें उसी प्रकार देखा है, जैसे रात्रिके अन्तमें प्रजा भगवान् भास्करका दर्शन करती है

Sañjaya dit : «Nous t’avons vu revenir sain et sauf, rassemblé de nouveau parmi nous, tel le soleil éclatant qui apparaît au peuple à la fin de la nuit. Ayant échappé à cette bataille qui mène à la ruine des héros, tu es revenu à la cité en bonne santé. En cet état, nous te contemplons comme le peuple contemple le Soleil béni lorsque les ténèbres se sont dissipées.»
