स्फुरतां प्रतिपिष्टानामश्वानां शीघ्रगामिनाम् । स्तनतां च मनुष्याणां सन्नद्धानां विशाम्पते
sañjaya uvāca | sphuratāṃ pratipiṣṭānām aśvānāṃ śīghragāminām | stanatāṃ ca manuṣyāṇāṃ sannaddhānāṃ viśāmpate |
Sañjaya dit : « Ô seigneur du peuple ! Bien des chevaux rapides—certains broyés dans la cohue—gisaient à terre, encore convulsés. Des hommes en armure rugissaient en frappant les points vulnérables de l’ennemi. Le fracas terrible des lances, javelots et piques résonnait sur tout le champ. »
