Unrestrained Battle Description and Śakuni’s Rear Assault
एवं चित्रमभूद् युद्ध तस्य तैः सह भारत
evaṃ citram abhūd yuddhaṃ tasya taiḥ saha bhārata
Sañjaya dit : «Ô Bhārata, ainsi, pour lui, la bataille contre eux devint merveilleuse et hors du commun.» Ce vers souligne que la guerre, bien qu’enracinée dans la violence, peut paraître « merveilleuse » dans le récit lorsqu’elle est marquée d’exploits stupéfiants — invitant à méditer la tension entre le spectacle héroïque et le lourd fardeau moral du carnage.
