धर्मराजस्तथा षष्ट्या गात्रे शल्यं समार्पयत्‌ । तत्पश्चात्‌ भीमसेनने सत्तर, सात्यकिने नौ और धर्मराज युधिष्ठिरने साठ बाणोंसे शल्यके शरीरको चोट पहुँचायी

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca | dharmarājas tathā ṣaṣṭyā gātre śalyaṃ samārpayat | tatpaścāt bhīmasenena saptatyā sātyakine navabhiḥ dharmarājā yudhiṣṭhirena ṣaṣṭyā bāṇaiḥ śalyasya śarīraṃ samāhatam |

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Le roi Yudhiṣṭhira frappa le corps de Śalya de soixante flèches. Ensuite Bhīmasena le blessa de soixante-dix, Sātyaki de neuf, et Yudhiṣṭhira encore de soixante. Dans la discipline sombre du champ de bataille, les Pāṇḍava poussent l’assaut avec une détermination mesurée, soumettant l’émotion personnelle aux dures exigences du devoir guerrier.
