Adhyāya 6: Śibira-dvāra-sthita Bhūta-varṇana and Aśvatthāmā’s Śaraṇāgati to Mahādeva
द्रौणिमुक्तान् शरांस्तांस्तु तद् भूतं॑ महदग्रसत् । उदधेरिव वार्योघान् पावको वडवामुख:
drauṇimuktān śarāṁs tāṁs tu tad bhūtaṁ mahad agrasat | udadher iva vāryoghān pāvako vaḍavāmukhaḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Cette puissante force élémentaire engloutit toutes les flèches décochées par le fils de Droṇa. Comme le feu sous-marin (vaḍavānala) boit les flots impétueux de l’océan, ainsi cette grande puissance consuma les traits d’Aśvatthāmā.
