कृपोपदेशः — द्रौणेरनिद्रा च
Kṛpa’s Counsel and Drauṇi’s Sleepless Resolve
विश्रमस्व त्वमव्यग्र: स्वप चेमां निशां सुखम् | अहं च कृतवर्मा च त्वां प्रयान्तं नरोत्तमम्
viśramasva tvam avyagraḥ svapa cemāṃ niśāṃ sukham | ahaṃ ca kṛtavarmā ca tvāṃ prayāntaṃ narottamam ||
Kṛpa dit : «Repose-toi, sans inquiétude, et dors paisiblement toute cette nuit. Demain, quand tu partiras pour la bataille, ô le meilleur des hommes, Kṛtavarmā et moi marcherons ensemble derrière toi, l’arc à la main, pour infliger tourments aux ennemis.»
कृप उवाच
The verse emphasizes composure and preparedness: a warrior-leader should rest and act without agitation, while allies pledge disciplined support for the coming action.
Kṛpa advises Aśvatthāmā to stop rushing, rest for the night, and assures him that he and Kṛtavarmā will accompany him the next day as he sets out to confront the enemies.
