Shloka 35

“आजसे चौदहवें वर्षमें दुर्योधनके अपराधसे भीम और अर्जुनके पराक्रमद्वारा कौरवकुलका नाश हो जायगा” ।। इत्युक्त्वा दिवमाक्रम्य क्षिप्रमन्‍्तरधीयत । ब्राह्मीं श्रियं सुविपुलां बिश्रद्‌ देवर्षिसत्तम:

“ājase caturdaśame varṣe duryodhanasyāparādhena bhīmārjunayoḥ parākramād api kauravakulasya nāśo bhaviṣyati” iti uktvā divam ākramya kṣipram antaradhīyata | brāhmīṁ śriyaṁ suvīpulāṁ bibhrad devarṣisattamaḥ ||

«Dans la quatorzième année à compter d’aujourd’hui, par la faute de Duryodhana, la lignée des Kuru sera menée à la ruine par la vaillance de Bhīma et d’Arjuna.» Ayant ainsi parlé, le plus éminent des voyants divins s’éleva vers le ciel et disparut aussitôt aux regards, portant une splendeur immense, pareille à celle de Brahman—verdict tacite que l’adharma, lorsqu’il mûrit, engendre la destruction de tous.
