Dharma is subtle and difficult to judge in practice; true discernment of it is linked with personal discipline and the formative influence of respectfully serving elders and learning from their lived wisdom.
A speaker addresses Yudhiṣṭhira with affectionate respect, praising his grasp of dharma’s subtle workings and attributing his wisdom to good conduct and devoted attendance on elders—setting a moral tone for counsel and decision-making in the Sabha Parva context.
