Rājasūyābhiṣeka-darśana: Duryodhana’s Observation of the Consecration
पूर्णे शतसहस्त्रे तु विप्राणां परिविष्यताम् । स्थापिता तत्र संज्ञाभूच्छड्खो ध्मायति नित्यश:,जब एक लाख ब्राह्मणोंको रसोई परोस दी जाती, तब उसके लिये एक संकेत नियत किया गया था; प्रतिदिन लाखकी संख्या पूरी होते ही बड़े जोरसे शंख बजाया जाता था
pūrṇe śatasahasre tu viprāṇāṃ pariviṣyatām | sthāpitā tatra saṃjñābhūc chaṅkho dhmāyati nityaśaḥ ||
Duryodhana dit : «Lorsque le compte de cent mille brahmanes servis à leur repas était achevé, on avait établi là un signal immuable ; chaque jour, dès que le lakh était complet, on faisait retentir puissamment une conque.»
