मा साहसमितीदं सा सततं वाशते किल । साहसं चात्मनातीव चरन्ती नावबुध्यते,वह चिड़िया सदा यही बोला करती है--“मा साहसम' (अर्थात् साहसका काम न करो), परंतु वह स्वयं ही भारी साहसका काम करती हुई भी यह नहीं समझ पाती
mā sāhasam itīdaṃ sā satataṃ vāśate kila | sāhasaṃ cātmanā tīva carantī nāvabudhyate ||
On dit qu’elle ne cesse de crier : «N’agis pas avec témérité !» Et pourtant, tandis qu’elle-même se comporte avec une imprudence extrême, elle ne s’en rend pas compte.
