Adhyāya 33: Antarvedī-Samāgama, Arghya-Nirṇaya, and Śiśupāla’s Objection
अधियज्ञांश्न॒ सम्भारान् धौम्योक्तान् क्षिप्रमेव हि । समानयमन्तु पुरुषा यथायोगं यथाक्रमम्
adhiyajñāṁś ca sambhārān dhaumyoktān kṣipram eva hi | samānayantu puruṣā yathāyogaṁ yathākramam ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « Que les hommes rassemblent au plus vite les apprêts du sacrifice — les membres mêmes du rite — tels que les a prescrits Dhaumya. Qu’ils soient acquis et disposés comme il convient, et selon la juste succession. »
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Sacred undertakings require prompt, orderly preparation and adherence to competent guidance; dharma is upheld through correct procedure (yathāyogam) and proper sequence (yathākramam).
Vaiśampāyana reports an instruction that attendants should swiftly procure and assemble all sacrificial materials, specifically those prescribed by Dhaumya, arranging them appropriately and in the correct order for the yajña.
