Adhyāya 33: Antarvedī-Samāgama, Arghya-Nirṇaya, and Śiśupāla’s Objection
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | saphalaḥ kṛṣṇa saṅkalpaḥ siddhiś ca niyatā mama | yasya me tvaṃ hṛṣīkeśa yathepsitam upasthitaḥ ||
The verse highlights confidence grounded in righteous intention and divine support: when one’s resolve is aligned with dharma, the timely presence of wise or divine guidance (here, Kṛṣṇa) makes success feel assured.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Kṛṣṇa with relief and reverence, saying his purpose has succeeded because Kṛṣṇa has arrived just as he wished—implying that Kṛṣṇa’s presence is crucial for counsel and the next course of action in the Sabha Parva context.
