अजुन उवाच कुरूणामृषभो राजा धर्मपुत्रो युधिष्ठिर: । धर्मज्ञ: सत्यसंधश्न यज्वा विपुलदक्षिण:,अर्जुन बोले--महाराज! धर्मज्ञ सत्यप्रतिज्ञ कुरु-कुलरत्न धर्मपुत्र राजा युधिष्ठिर बहुत दक्षिणा देकर राजसूययज्ञ करनेवाले हैं। मैं चाहता हूँ वे चक्रवर्ती सम्राट्‌ हों। आप उन्हें कर दीजिये। आप मेरे पिताके मित्र हैं और मुझसे भी प्रेम रखते हैं; अतः मैं आपको आज्ञा नहीं दे सकता। आप प्रेमभावसे ही उन्हें भेंट दीजिये

arjuna uvāca

kurūṇām ṛṣabho rājā dharmaputro yudhiṣṭhiraḥ |

dharmajñaḥ satyasaṃdhaś ca yajvā vipuladakṣiṇaḥ ||

Arjuna dit : «Ô grand roi ! Yudhiṣṭhira, fils de Dharma, est le souverain, le premier parmi les Kuru. Il connaît le dharma, demeure ferme dans la vérité, et accomplit les sacrifices en prodiguant d’abondantes largesses.»
