The verse highlights the ideal of steadfast Kṣatriya excellence—strength, valor, and disciplined readiness—while also stressing rootedness in cultural memory (“remembering the Middle Country”) as a marker of identity and legitimacy.
Śrī Kṛṣṇa is describing the Vṛṣṇi-Andhaka side’s leading warriors, characterizing them as elite mahārathas with adamantine physiques, firmly established within the Vṛṣṇi community and mindful of their homeland tradition.
