Shloka 14

राजसूयविचारः — Deliberation on the Rajasuya and the Summoning of Kṛṣṇa

तस्य सर्वे महीपाला धनान्याजहुराज्ञया | द्विजानां परिवेष्टारस्तस्मिन्‌ यज्ञे च ते5भवन्‌,राजाकी आज्ञासे समस्त भूपालोंने धन लाकर भेंट किये और उस यज्ञमें ब्राह्मणोंको भोजन परोसनेका कार्य किया

tasya sarve mahīpālā dhanāny ājahur ājñayā | dvijānāṁ pariveṣṭāras tasmin yajñe ca te ’bhavan |

Nārada dit : Sur son ordre, tous les rois apportèrent leurs richesses en tribut ; et, dans ce sacrifice, ils prirent même la place de serviteurs, distribuant la nourriture aux brahmanes.

Educational Q&A

Even the powerful are bound by dharma: rightful authority is shown not only through receiving tribute but through honoring sacred rites and serving the worthy, expressing humility and reverence for the yajña and the Brahmins.

Nārada describes how all the kings, obeying the ruler’s command, brought wealth and, during the sacrifice, acted as food-servers for the Brahmins—depicting their submission and participation in the ritual order.
