असूत शापजं घोरं तच्च राज्ञे न्यवेदयन् | विषण्णरूपस्तद् राजा सूक्ष्मं चूर्णमकारयत्
asūta śāpajaṃ ghoraṃ tacca rājñe nyavedayan | viṣaṇṇarūpastad rājā sūkṣmaṃ cūrṇam akārayat |

वैशम्पायन उवाच

A dreadful club arises due to Sāmba’s curse; the Yādavas bring it to King Ugrasena, who, distressed by the omen, orders it to be pulverized into very fine powder in an attempt to prevent the impending disaster.
