sa coditaḥ sarvayatnena karṇo mumoca bāṇān subahūn abhīkṣṇam
Sañjaya dit : Ainsi pressé, Karṇa, déployant tous ses efforts, décocha sans cesse une grande multitude de flèches, maintenant l’assaut sans répit dans l’ardeur du combat.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights relentless exertion once a warrior is urged into action: in war, resolve and sustained effort amplify violence and its consequences, reminding the listener that incitement and unchecked momentum intensify conflict.
In Sañjaya’s report of the battlefield, Karṇa—having been prompted—strains with full effort and repeatedly showers the enemy with a continuous volley of many arrows.
