sañjaya uvāca | tathā ca sarvāstimireṇa vai diśo meghair vātā na pradṛśyeta kiñcit | athāpovāhyā bhra-saṅghān samastān vāyavyāstreṇāpatataḥ sa karṇāt |
Sañjaya dit : Lorsque des masses de nuages déferlèrent, toutes les directions furent couvertes de ténèbres, si bien qu’on ne distinguait plus rien. Alors, toute la troupe de nuées lancée par Karṇa fut mise en lambeaux par l’Arme du Vent (Vāyavya-astra), et la vue revint sur le champ de bataille.
संजय उवाच

Clouds spread darkness in all directions so nothing is visible; then the cloud-masses coming from Karṇa are dispersed by the Vāyavya-astra (Wind weapon), clearing the battlefield.
