Even amid war, dharma is upheld through truthful counsel and the capacity to forgive. Yudhiṣṭhira recognizes Arjuna’s words as both appropriate and beneficial (hita), and he responds not with resentment but with kṣamā (forbearance/forgiveness), restoring fraternal unity.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Arjuna affectionately by his epithets (Pārtha, Bībhatsa) and asks him to embrace him. He acknowledges that Arjuna has spoken what needed to be said for Yudhiṣṭhira’s welfare, and declares that he has forgiven the matter—signaling reconciliation and renewed solidarity among the Pāṇḍavas.
