Transliteration

patitair nipatadbhir viśvaṃ gajair hemavibhūṣitaiḥ

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Tout le champ semblait submergé d’éléphants—les uns déjà tombés, les autres s’effondrant encore—parés d’ornements d’or ; leurs somptueux harnachements n’étaient plus que les marques de la ruine au cœur de la violence guerrière.
