नकुलस्तु ततः क्रुद्धस्तव पुत्र च सप्तभि: । जघान समरे राजन् सहदेवश्व पठ्चभि:,राजन! तत्पश्चात् समरभूमिमें आपके पुत्रको क्रोधमें भरे हुए नकुलने सात और सहदेवने पाँच बाण मारे
nakulas tu tataḥ kruddhas tava putraṃ ca saptabhiḥ | jaghāna samare rājan sahadevaś ca pañcabhiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Alors Nakula, enflammé de colère, frappa ton fils au combat de sept flèches ; et Sahadeva le frappa de cinq, ô Roi.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights how anger and duty operate together in wartime: warriors act decisively to protect their side, yet the narrative also hints at the tragic erosion of restraint as combat escalates.
Sañjaya reports to King Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Nakula, enraged, shoots the king’s son with seven arrows, and Sahadeva follows by striking him with five arrows during the battle.
