कर्णवधार्थं धनञ्जयस्य प्रतिज्ञा — Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat
ननाद सुमहानादं भीषयाणो जगर्ज च । मान्यवर! तदनन्तर दूसरे भललसे उनकी ध्वजाको बींध डाला। राजन! उस समय विश्वकर्माका बनाया हुआ वह महान् वानर सबको भयभीत करता हुआ बड़े जोर-जोरसे गर्जना करने लगा
sañjaya uvāca | nanāda sumahānādaṃ bhīṣayāṇo jagarja ca |
Sañjaya dit : Il poussa un rugissement prodigieux et, semant l’effroi alentour, tonna à maintes reprises. Puis, d’une autre flèche acérée, son étendard fut percé ; et, à cet instant, le grand emblème du singe—ouvragé par Viśvakarman—jeta la peur dans tous les cœurs en rugissant puissamment.
