कर्णवधार्थं धनञ्जयस्य प्रतिज्ञा — Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat
संशप्तकास्तु समरे शरवृष्टी: समन्ततः । अपातयन् पार्थमूर्थश्नि जयगृद्धा: प्रमन््यव:,समरांगणमें विजयकी इच्छा रखनेवाले संशप्तकोंने अत्यन्त कुपित होकर अर्जुनके मस्तकपर चारों ओरसे बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी
saṁśaptakās tu samare śaravṛṣṭīḥ samantataḥ | apātayan pārtham ūrdhvaśni jayagṛddhāḥ pramanyavaḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Au plus fort du combat, les Saṁśaptakas—brûlants d’une colère farouche et avides de victoire—se mirent à accabler Arjuna, de toutes parts, d’une pluie de flèches, les lançant jusqu’à sa tête.
