अभवन्मे भयं तीव्रं कथमेतद् भविष्यति । क्रोधमें भरे हुए उन अमिततेजस्वी वीरोंके शरीर देखकर मुझे बड़ा भारी भय होता था कि यह युद्ध कैसा होगा?
abhavan me bhayaṃ tīvraṃ katham etad bhaviṣyati |
Sañjaya dit : Une peur farouche s’éleva en moi : comment tout cela tournerait-il ? En voyant les corps de ces héros à l’éclat incommensurable, gonflés de colère, je fus saisi d’une lourde épouvante quant à ce que deviendrait cette bataille.
