Adhyāya 31
सो5हमेतादृशो भूत्वा नेहारिबलसूदन: । सूतपुत्रस्य संग्रामे सारथ्यं कर्तुमुत्सहे
so ’ham etādṛśo bhūtvā nehāribalasūdanaḥ | sūtaputrasya saṅgrāme sārathyaṃ kartum utsahe ||
Śalya dit : «Quand bien même je suis un homme tel—capable d’écraser les forces ennemies—je ne puis me résoudre, ici sur ce champ de bataille, à servir en guerre comme cocher d’un simple fils de cocher.»
