The Crow-and-Swan Exemplum as Counsel to Karṇa
समेत्य च महावीरीौ संरब्धौ युद्धदुर्मदौ । ववर्षतुर्महेष्वासौ शरैरन्योन्यमाहवे,इस प्रकार वे महाधनुर्धर, महावीर और महारथी दोनों रणदुर्मद बन्धु एक-दूसरेके सामने आ गये और क्रोधपूर्वक आपसमें भिड़कर युद्धस्थलमें परस्पर बाणोंकी वर्षा करने लगे
sametya ca mahāvīrau saṃrabdhau yuddha-durmadau | vavarṣatur mahēṣvāsau śarair anyonyam āhave ||
Sañjaya dit : Les deux grands héros se rencontrèrent face à face—tous deux embrasés de colère et comme ivres de la fureur du combat. Ces puissants archers se rapprochèrent sur le champ de bataille et, engagés l’un contre l’autre, se criblèrent de volées de flèches.
