कर्णसेनापत्यारम्भः — Karṇa’s Appointment and the Report to Dhṛtarāṣṭra
Chapter 1
भरतनन्दन! प्रतिदिनके आवश्यक कार्य सम्पन्न करके आश्वस्त हो उन्होंने सैनिकोंको कवच आदि धारण करके तैयार हो जानेकी आज्ञा दी तथा कौतुक एवं मांगलिक कृत्य पूर्ण करके कर्णको सेनापति बनाकर वे सब-के-सब दही
tathaiva pāṇḍavā rājan kṛtapūrvāhṇikakriyāḥ | śibirān niryayus tūrṇaṃ yuddhāya kṛtaniścayāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : « Ô roi, de même les Pāṇḍava, après avoir accompli les rites matinaux selon l’usage, sortirent promptement du camp. Leur résolution de combattre était ferme et inébranlable. »
