The Exploits of Śaineya/Sātyaki amid Encirclement
तावकानां परेषां च युध्यतां भरतर्षभ । नासीत् कश्चिन्महाराज योज्त्याक्षीत् संयुगं भयात्,भरतभूषण! महाराज! वहाँ युद्ध करते हुए आपके और शत्रुओंके योद्धाओंमें कोई ऐसा नहीं था, जिसने भयके कारण युद्धका मैदान छोड़ दिया हो
tāvakānāṃ pareṣāṃ ca yudhyatāṃ bharatarṣabha | nāsīt kaścin mahārāja yo jitākṣīt saṃyugaṃ bhayāt ||
Sañjaya dit : Ô taureau parmi les Bhārata, ô Roi — parmi tes guerriers et ceux de l’adversaire engagés dans la bataille, il ne se trouva pas un seul homme qui, par crainte, abandonnât le combat. La scène est empreinte de constance au cœur du péril : des deux côtés, on demeure lié au devoir du kṣatriya, fût-ce au prix de la vie.
