Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 95 — Sātyaki’s Breakthrough and the Routing of Allied Contingents
शिरोभशि: पातितैस्तत्र भूमिरासीज्निरन्तरा | अभ्रच्छायेव चैवासीदू ध्वाड्क्षगृभ्रबलैर्युधि,वहाँ गिराये हुए मस्तकोंसे वह रणभूमि ठसाठस भर गयी थी और उस युद्धस्थलमें कौओं तथा गीधोंकी सेनाके आ जानेसे वहाँ मेघकी छाया-सी प्रतीत होती थी
sañjaya uvāca | śirobhiḥ pātitais tatra bhūmir āsīn nirantarā | abhracchāyeva caivāsīd dhvāṅkṣa-gṛdhra-balair yudhi |
Sañjaya dit : Là, le champ de bataille fut couvert d’une épaisseur sans interstice par les têtes tranchées tombées à terre. Et, dans ce combat, lorsque des nuées de corbeaux et de vautours s’assemblèrent, le lieu sembla comme ombragé par un nuage.
