The Neutralization of Alambusa
ह्रादेन गजघण्टानां शड्खानां निनदेन च । नराणां पदशब्दैश्व॒ कम्पतीव सम मेदिनी,हाथियोंके घंटोंकी घनघनाहट, शंखोंकी ध्वनि तथा पैदल चलनेवाले मनुष्योंके पैरोंकी धमकसे यह पृथ्वी काँपती-सी जान पड़ती थी
hrādena gajaghaṇṭānāṃ śaṅkhānāṃ ninadena ca | narāṇāṃ padaśabdaiś ca kampatīva sā medinī ||
Sañjaya dit : Au fracas retentissant des clochettes des éléphants, au mugissement des conques et au lourd martèlement des pas des hommes en marche, la terre elle-même semblait trembler—sombre présage de l’élan immense et inexorable de la guerre et des souffrances qu’elle déchaîne.
