Chapter 79
ततो<भ्यनुज्ञाय नृपान् कृष्णो बन्धूंस्तथार्जुनम् । विवेशान्त:पुरे राजंस्ते च जम्मुर्यथालयम्,राजन! तदनन्तर श्रीकृष्ण राजाओं, बन्धुजनों तथा अर्जुनसे अनुमति ले अन्तःपुरमें गये और वे राजालोग भी अपने-अपने शिविरमें चले गये
tato 'bhyanujñāya nṛpān kṛṣṇo bandhūṁs tathārjunam | viveśāntaḥpure rājan te ca jagmur yathālayam ||
Sañjaya dit : Alors Kṛṣṇa, après avoir pris congé des rois, de ses proches et d’Arjuna, entra dans le palais intérieur, ô Roi ; et ces rois aussi se retirèrent, chacun vers ses quartiers.
संजय उवाच
Even in a war setting, dharma expresses itself through maryādā (proper conduct): taking leave respectfully, honoring kinship ties, and maintaining orderly royal procedure rather than acting impulsively.
After concluding an interaction, Kṛṣṇa formally takes permission from the assembled kings, his relatives, and Arjuna, then goes into the palace’s inner quarters; the other kings disperse to their own camps/quarters.
