अधर्मो हि कृतस्तीव्र: कथं स्यादफलश्रिरम्‌ । “तुम्हारे पापकर्मका फल तुम्हें शीघ्र ही प्राप्त होगा। तुमलोगोंने घोर पाप किया है। उसका फल मिलनेमें अधिक विलम्ब कैसे हो सकता है?

Transliteration

adharmo hi kṛtas tīvraḥ kathaṃ syād aphalaśriyam |

Translation

Sañjaya dit : «Un acte d’adharma, terrible, a été commis ; comment pourrait-il rester sans conséquence ? Le fruit de votre faute vous atteindra bientôt : vous avez accompli un mal effroyable, comment son résultat pourrait-il tarder ?»
