Droṇa-parva 55

हविर्भिस्तर्पिता येन सम्यक्‌ क्लूप्तैर्दिवौकस: । ऋषीणां च पितृणां च देवानां सुखजीविनाम्‌

havirbhis tarpito yena samyak klūptair divaukasaḥ | ṛṣīṇāṃ ca pitṝṇāṃ ca devānāṃ sukhajīvinām ||

Nārada dit : «Par lui, les dieux—habitants du ciel—furent justement comblés par des oblations (havis) préparées selon la règle ; et de même les ṛṣi et les Pitṛ, ces êtres divins, ancêtres sacrés vivant dans la félicité. Ainsi accomplit-il l’économie sacrée du don et du soutien, maintenant l’ordre invisible par l’offrande rituelle accomplie comme il se doit.»
