Abhimanyu’s Fall and the Battlefield Aftermath
खड्गचर्म धर: श्रीमानुत्पपात विहायसा । धनुष कट जाने और रथ नष्ट हो जानेपर तेजस्वी वीर अभिमन्यु अपने धर्मका पालन करते हुए ढाल और तलवार हाथमें लेकर आकाशमें उछल पड़ा
khaḍgacarma-dharaḥ śrīmān utpapāta vihāyasā | dhanuṣaḥ kaṭa-jāne ca ratha-naṣṭe ca tejasvī vīro 'bhimanyuḥ sva-dharmam anutiṣṭhan carma-khaḍgau pāṇibhyāṃ gṛhītvā vihāyasam utpapāta |
Sañjaya dit : Lorsque son arc eut été tranché et son char anéanti, le héros Abhimanyu, rayonnant—inébranlable dans l’observance de son propre dharma—saisit bouclier et épée et bondit vers les hauteurs du ciel, poursuivant le combat d’une volonté sans faille.
