Droṇa-parva Adhyāya 29 — Arjuna’s defeat of Vṛṣaka–Acalā and the neutralization of Śakuni’s māyā
देववाक्यात् प्रचिच्छेद शरेण भृशमर्जुन: । छिन्नमात्रें3शुके तस्मिन् रुद्धनेत्रो बभूव सः:
devavākyāt praciccheda śareṇa bhṛśam arjunaḥ | chinnamātreṃśuke tasmin ruddhanetro babhūva saḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : À l’instant où retentit cette proclamation au timbre divin, Arjuna, prompt et d’une force redoutable, la trancha d’une flèche. Dès que l’étendard fut sectionné, l’adversaire devint tel un homme à la vue obstruée : sa vision et son assurance furent arrêtées devant la prouesse décisive d’Arjuna, sous la pression morale du champ de bataille.
