karmat tat pārtha śakreṇa yamena dhanadena ca | duṣkaraṃ samare yat te kṛtam adyeti me matiḥ ||
The verse highlights the ideal of extraordinary effort in the performance of one’s duty: Arjuna’s battlefield act is praised as surpassing even divine benchmarks, underscoring the Mahābhārata theme that steadfast resolve and dharma-driven valor can achieve what seems impossible.
Sañjaya, narrating the war to Dhṛtarāṣṭra, commends Arjuna (addressed as Pārtha) for a remarkable exploit performed that day in battle, declaring it so difficult that even Indra, Yama, and Kubera would struggle to accomplish it.
