अलातचक्रप्रतिमं तस्य मण्डलमायुधम् | द्रौणेरासीन्महाराज बाणान् विसृजतस्तदा
alātacakrapratimaṃ tasya maṇḍalam āyudham | drauṇer āsīn mahārāja bāṇān visṛjatas tadā ||
Sañjaya dit : Ô roi, lorsque le fils de Droṇa décochait ses flèches, le mouvement circulaire de son arme paraissait tel un tison enflammé qu’on fait tournoyer—un anneau de feu, saisissant et ardent. L’image souligne que la prouesse guerrière, lorsqu’elle est mue par la colère, peut éblouir l’œil tout en approfondissant la ruine de la guerre.
