द्वैधीकृतान् कुरून् दृष्टवा माधवोडर्जुनमब्रवीत् । सपत्नान् सव्यतः कृत्वा अपसव्यमिमं कुरु,कौरव-सेनाको दो भागोंमें विभक्त देख भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने अर्जुनसे कहा--'पार्थ! तुम अन्य शत्रुओंको बायें करके इन द्रोणाचार्यको दायें करो (और इनके बीचसे होकर आगे बढ़ चलो)'
dvaidhīkṛtān kurūn dṛṣṭvā mādhavo 'rjunam abravīt | sapatnān savyataḥ kṛtvā apasavyam imaṃ kuru ||
Sañjaya dit : Voyant les forces des Kuru partagées en deux divisions, Mādhava (Kṛṣṇa) parla à Arjuna : «Garde les guerriers rivaux sur ta gauche, et place celui-ci sur ta droite ; avance en sens inverse (dans le sens contraire des aiguilles d’une montre).»
संजय उवाच
Maintain disciplined clarity in action: even amid moral and emotional strain, one should act with focused purpose under wise guidance, using means that reduce confusion and directly address the principal danger.
Sañjaya reports that Kṛṣṇa, seeing the Kaurava forces arranged in two divisions, instructs Arjuna on how to steer through the formation—keeping enemies to the left and moving in an apasavya (rightward/counterclockwise) line to press forward toward the key opponent.
